PomoDial ← Back to Timer

The PomoDial Chrome Extension Is Here — Focus From Any Tab

Start Pomodoro sessions from your browser toolbar without leaving your work.

The PomoDial Chrome extension is now live. Start timed focus sessions from your browser toolbar, set an intention, and keep your work tab open — your sessions sync back to your pomodial.com history automatically.

You're mid-flow. Deep in a document, a codebase, or a research tab. The last thing you want to do is navigate to a timer app.

The PomoDial Chrome extension fixes that.

One click on the toolbar icon. Write what you're working on. Hit start. The timer runs in the background — you get a chime when it's done, and your session syncs to your PomoDial history automatically.

What the extension does

  • Start a focus session from any tab without leaving your work
  • Write your intention before the timer starts — same as the web app
  • Timer runs in the background even if you close the popup
  • Completion chime plays when time's up
  • Session syncs to your pomodial.com history and streak
  • Side panel mode — pin the timer to the right side of your browser while you work

How to get started

  1. Install the PomoDial extension from the Chrome Web Store
  2. Click the icon in your toolbar
  3. Click Connect with PomoDial — sign in on pomodial.com if prompted
  4. Type your intention, set your duration, hit Start

That's it. Your sessions appear in your history alongside everything you've tracked on the web app, ChatGPT, and Claude.

Why we built it

PomoDial started as a web timer. Then it became a ChatGPT plugin and a Claude connector — so you could start sessions conversationally. The Chrome extension is the third piece: for the times when you're already in your browser and you just want to start a timer without any friction.

The goal has always been the same — make it as easy as possible to commit to focused work, whatever tool you happen to be in.
